Hi, I'm Natalie Rapp.

Welcome to Peace and Quiet. I look forward to sharing deep listening and mindful living with your family. 

 

I hold Montessori certifications in both the primary and lower elementary environments through the North American Montessori Center and have taught in Montessori and homeschool settings in the Nashville area.

 

One day while looking around my classroom, I realized that I cared less about the materials on the shelf and more about each child’s heart, suffering, and sense of wonder. With this knowledge, I have obtained certifications in Spiritual Direction with Children, Meditation and Mindfulness with Children, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Godly Play, and OutoftheBox.

 

From 2023 to 2025 I joyfully served as Family Formation Assistant at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Nashville.  I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Leadership with a focus in Spiritual Direction from United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, studying Zen Buddhism in the Plum Village tradition, and developing a way of sharing spiritual direction, mindfulness, and the arts with children called Contemplaytion™.

 

The decision to homeschool my own child allowed my family to enjoy some amazing life experiences. In 2016, we sold our home in Franklin, bought an Airstream, and spent a year hiking in over forty national parks west of the Mississippi River. 

 

I am looking forward to getting to know your family, listening to what is important in your lives, and making sure you all know that you are truly beloved.
